Reminiscences and poetry of Edwin Charles Cox, 1886-1915, bulk (1886-1900).

This is a bound volume of photostat copies of the original record book of Edwin Charles Cox loaned by Cox's son through Juanita Brooks. The first section describes his early childhood in England working for a family who owned a local estate, his time in South Wales working as a striker in a blacksmith shop, his conversion to Mormonism, and his experiences preaching to the local people and their subsequent persecution of him. The following section consists of poetry and songs written by Edwin touching upon such subjects as his wife, love, Pioneer Day, tributes to Brigham Young and other prominent figures in the church, and the statehood of Utah.
